And the letter I received yesterday, certainly belongs into that category. A user from Austria send me a personal letter (with hand-written signature, imagine that) with a thanks as the aftermath of the unfortunate KDE 4.4.4 stabilisation. But apart from a simple and humbly accepted thanks (read all the comments for the linked post and I received some emails, too) a voucher for Amazon is included. A huge thanks from my wife (she will use it and she was surprised that there are actually users for the stuff I do) and of course from me, and I want to emphasize that I don't expect any reward for my work on Gentoo but the warm fuzzy feeling of doing something right (and the fun of course).

I also want to thank you. KDE+Gentoo is the platform where I am doing my PhD work. Without your efforts I would need to use a suboptimal system. In other words, a system I do not like.
