And who takes care of that package?

E-Mail PDF
Having touched lots of packages as a stabilisation monkey for x86, I frequently get emails for packages I have nothing to do with. Users ask me to bump it or fix some outstanding bug. As much as I would like to help all of them I just can't do it. So why do they write to me? Because my name is found at the top of the ChangeLog file. People, that is not the place to look, when you want to know who is maintaining a specific package. All you need is the metadata.xml file and the maintainer or herd tag.

No, they don't read the ChangeLog! People look it up on packages.g.o where no mention is made of maintainers (disregarding for the moment the link to metadata.xml) but where very prominently the last dev is mentioned who touched the package. I suggest changes are made to p.g.o, so that users need not be "educated" as to where to find contact information. p.g.o should prominently display who is responsible for a package, and maybe have the ChangeLog partly printed underneath the more important information, instead of the other way round. :)
