Working on the Unofficial Bazaar Overlay is now easier.  If you joined the Gentoo members group on Launchpad, you can commit to the overlay branch there. After review this is merged into the main line of the overlay. So don't miss this opportunity to support your loved distribution.

I'm curious as to the choice of BZR over Git. Of course my preference is obvious here. There are many advantages to using git ( speed , written in C , great branching, there's github etc. ) I'm not condeming the idea of course, any DSCM is an improvement over the current model IMO, but still, the reasons behind it would be nice to know :)

For Gentoo itself Git is in the works though slowly, as the conversion holds up faster application.
