The Gentoo GNU Emacs team just released version 1.10 of app-emacs/gentoo-syntax which is a minor update in general but has some interesting new features:
- Support EAPI 2 (to be found in Portage 2.2 and 2.1.6)
- Make use of the menu to make it easier for beginners
- The code has been revamped and reworked in some important parts (not user-visible)
- Update some eclasses (no PHP4 support anymore and some more changes to other exisiting eclasses)
- Support the new eclasses bzr and gems
