Yesterday I bought some new components for my system. The CPU is now an Athlon64 BE-2400 with 2 GB RAM (instead of a Athlon-XP 2400+ with 1 GB), the system is really silent now and it is faster while not using more energy than before. Still I stick with x86 as I have no need for 64-bit features yet and the x86 team needs me. :)
I was offline for a day (at least with the development machine, laptop still worked) because the Realtek network chip was too new for the kernel and I had to buy a separate card which is just fine (4€, wow, prices are low).
